I was super conscious of Gods presence when i was growing up. What happened now? I was so conscious that i knew i was never alone. I loved to brush Jesus’ teeth after i am done with mine. I loved to leave the door open a bit when i go out or come in to allow Jesus to follow me. I acted as if Jesus was with me physically. So great a childlike faith. When i look back now, i wonder where that had all gone. I need to keep that going as its so comforting.

1 Samuel 9:3-18 tells us a story to help you relate. Saul’s father, Kish lost some donkeys and he sent Saul and a servant to go look for it. They spent a long time looking and were almost giving up when the servant remembered there is a ‘seer,’ Prophet Samuel who could help them. Can you imagine the time and efforts they would have saved if they had gone to the ‘seer’ first instead of looking around first?

However in 1 samuel 10:2… the donkeys were already found. Maybe looking like this relaxed donkey here:

A lot of time as adults, we want to be successful, we want to get rich, we know a family member who can help. We seem to believe our husband or wife are well positioned to help sort something out when and we go round and round. What we are looking for is not lost in the first place.

MY TAKE: We have the Holy Spirit who knows all things and He’s in us. He is OUR ADVANTAGE. help me know you are near Lord should be our cry. Let us ask God first before embarking on a journey or a business. He knows where to fish in the ocean of life. God bless the writer of this song, Michael W Smith. Draw me close to you Never let me go I lay it all down again To hear you say that I’m your friend You are my desire No one else will do Cause nothing else can take your place To feel the warmth of your embrace Help me find the way Bring me back to you You’re all I want You’re all I’ve ever needed You’re all I want Help me know you are near.
