I was 8 years old when my mother died so my grandma took care of me. I was a past student of Imade College Owo and this was where I started getting involved in cultural shows before I further learnt from Popular Mrs Ramat Akanni who was my leader.

I became popular when there was a cultural songs competition for which my school was invited and unfortunately the then leader of the school band was not around and my friend, Toluleke Akanni (son to Ramat Akanni) let the cat out of the bag by letting the school cultural chairman (Chief Bola Olupona) know about my hidden talent. The then principal, Alhaji Abdul Kareem approved that I should  lead the group at the competition and glory be to God, the team won the competition.

Chief Olupona suggested the band idea to me and also at one of my performances, I met Mrs Esther Ologan of blessed memory who highly encouraged me and promised standing beside us always and she did her best for the band before she left this sinful world. May her soul rest in peace. Amen. She was our grand matron.

We named the band Ade lemisoro cultural and traditional musician band, Owo. We were delighted to meet mama Ologan’s daughter, Mrs Elizabeth Olubaju. We thank God for the opportunity and God will manifest himself in Jesus name. Thanks for taking out time to read my post on success Olubaju’s blog.
